Here are a few fall adventure ideas for you and your family to enjoy on publicly accessible land protected by Lowcountry Land Trust!

Angel Oak Tree Park (John’s Island, SC) LLT protects the 35 acres surrounding the estimated 500-year-old magnificent live oak. Imagine the stories this tree could tell! This is a must see for anyone in the area and has become a symbol of the Lowcountry.

Rosebrock Park (Summerville, SC) 1.5 miles of hiking & running trails allow you to explore 70 acres of protected bottomland forest and wetlands at the banks of the Ashley Scenic River. The park has covered picnic spots for a lunch or snack break. They have interpretive panels along the 1.5-mile trail to learn more about the park and environment.

Roxbury Park (Meggett, SC) 157 acres of unique habitats that attract and support an amazing variety of wildlife – over 1000 different species can be spotted! This protected property is a public park where all can enjoy fishing in freshwater ponds (catch & release only), trails for walking, biking or running, or a picnic at one of the picnic tables. Bring the family and try to spot as many species as you can!
