We’re Hiring: Strategic Conservation Projects Director

Lowcountry Land Trust seeks a senior-level, mission-driven, and highly-motivated Strategic Conservation Projects Director to join our dedicated team. This person will be instrumental in ensuring the Land Trust’s long-term success by focusing significantly on catalyzing and leading large and complex land protection projects across South Carolina’s coastal plain. Central to this effort will be the building, nurturing, and maintaining strong relationships with key constituencies, including landowners, nonprofit and government partners, funders, and other stakeholders. The person in this position will regularly engage with a portfolio of owners of strategically important unprotected land; cultivate Lowcountry Land Trust’s use of new, untapped, and complex sources of land protection funding; leverage impact capital and conservation investor capital for land protection; develop innovative partnerships and methods for leveraging protection by other entities; provide guidance to other Lowcountry Land Trust project managers; and otherwise contribute to Lowcountry Land Trust’s collective conservation strategies.
