SUMMARY:Beefield Community Park Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Calling all volunteers! Join the Battery Island Drive Neighborhood Association (BIDNA)\, Keep Charleston Beautiful\, and Lowcountry Land Trust for a litter cleanup on Tuesday\, June 9\, from 2 to 4 pm at the historic Beefield Community on James Island.  \nPartners have been collaborating on the Beefield Community Park initiative since 2023\, and many volunteers have powered the site preparation. The vision for the park is to transform the formerly threatened 4-acre site into a vibrant\, engaging\, publicly accessible green space that honors the historic\, cultural\, and ecological significance of the Beefield community. \nThis cleanup will beautify the Beefield neighborhood\, raise awareness of the collaborative efforts to create the Community Park\, and sustain the momentum built by volunteers as BIDNA and Lowcountry Land Trust prepare for the site-planning process. \nClick here to volunteer at this important community cleanup event on Tuesday\, June 9!
