Alge Island Kayak Clean-up

Community members are invited to explore and clean up Alge Island, a property once threatened by development that led to the organization of Lowcountry Land Trust in 1986.

The kayak clean-up will occur on Friday, April 26, at 418 Owen Street, Charleston, SC 29414 (West Ashley). It will begin promptly at 10 am, and registration is required. Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets will be provided. Please dress weather-appropriate and bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and bug spray.

Founded in 1986, Lowcountry Land Trust partners with landowners and local stakeholders to permanently protect and nurture land throughout coastal South Carolina. Lowcountry Land Trust holds conservation easements on over 150,000 acres across 17 counties in coastal South Carolina and manages community-centered places such as the Angel Oak Preserve. More information about the Lowcountry Land Trust is available at www.lowcountrylandtrust.org
