As part of our Earth Week celebration, we’ll pair our popular bird walk series with a litter sweep of the Western end of the West Ashley Greenway to help provide a thriving habitat for our winged friends.
Layton Register, a long-time CPC volunteer and bird enthusiast, will lead us as we explore and record our findings with Cornell University’s Ebird Register for ecological studies. Layton will show us first how to listen for different species then will educate us on the uniqueness of these species.
Binoculars are recommended for these walks but are not required. All supplies for the litter sweep will be provided by Keep Charleston Beautiful.
Free event limited to 40 participants.
Founded in 2007, the Charleston Parks Conservancy unites local resources, leverages support and organizes volunteers to be stewards of Charleston’s urban parks. We believe that high quality parks contribute to a higher quality of life, and great parks build strong communities.
