Soul of the Lowcountry is a community outreach program of Lowcountry Land Trust that connects people to landscapes and waterways through various educational and recreational events.
The goals of the program include connecting Lowcountry residents of all ages to the region’s protected landscapes and waterways; celebrating the culture of traditional land stewardship practices in the Lowcountry; offering experiences that generate public awareness of the importance of conservation; fostering a sense of responsibility for the protection of the Lowcountry’s natural resources; and building a community of people passionate about conservation and the Lowcountry way of life.
All regional residents, whether they just moved here or grew up here, appreciate the longstanding activities, landscapes, and waterways that help preserve the soul of the Lowcountry, and this program amplifies the shared responsibility to protect it for future generations.
