PROTECTING LAND AND WATER FOREVER
Since 1986, Lowcountry Land Trust has served as a partner and resource to South Carolina landowners to create a lasting, positive impact. We hold conservation easements on over 150,000 acres of land in 17 coastal counties.
CREATING COMMUNITY-CENTERED PLACES
Places like Angel Oak Preserve, Marshview Trail, and Magnolia Park and Community Garden are publicly accessible and protected forever by Lowcountry Land Trust. The conservation work of LLT is in direct harmony with the culture and activity of the Lowcountry.
PARTNERING WITH COMMUNITY STAKEHOLDERS
Lowcountry Land Trust partners with community stakeholders to permanently protect and nurture the land throughout coastal South Carolina. By protecting our land and ecosystem, we can enjoy the Lowcountry for generations to come. When the land thrives, we all thrive.

WHERE TRUST LIVES, LIFE FLOURISHES
Lowcountry Land Trust partners with landowners and community organizations to permanently protect and nurture the land throughout coastal South Carolina. Founded in 1986, Lowcountry Land Trust has worked for more than 35 years to protect irreplaceable landscapes that make South Carolina extraordinary. We have grown from a small community effort that rallied to protect Alge Island on the Stono River to an institution that protects more than 150,000 acres of coastal land and water. The conservation of this land is foundational to the health of our coastal ecosystem and our identity as South Carolinians. When the land thrives, we all thrive.
