Angel Oak Preserve Update: December 2023

We’re thrilled to share the most recent updates from Angel Oak Preserve with you! Here’s a roundup of recent happenings.

Project updates:

Meet Andy Reinhardt, our dynamic construction manager. With Andy at the helm, we’re racing ahead on the project. A new wetland delineation happened earlier this month, and a full tree and topographic survey has begun! This helps us better understand the property and ensure that each physical feature of the Preserve has been carefully curated with the contours of the land to ensure the health and longevity of the tree and surrounding forest.

Angel Oak in the news:

Check out this op-ed that ran in the Post & Courier on the tenth anniversary of the community celebration marking the official acquisition of the Preserve.

Community clean-ups:

Our recent clean-up event with Charleston Parks Conservancy was a hit! The community’s enthusiasm is contagious, and we’re excited to announce our next event. Join us on 12/13 at 10 am as we host another clean-up at the Preserve. Please register in advance.

As a reminder, If you wish to get involved through volunteering, providing expertise, or attending an upcoming event, please contact us. Your involvement is vital to the success of this project. We are still in the early phases of fundraising for the Preserve, and if you’d like to make a gift to support our current programming efforts, we would be most grateful.

Thank you for being part of the Angel Oak Preserve family. Your support fuels our passion, and together, we’re creating a legacy that will stand the test of time.

Warm regards,
