Join Blue Ion Outpost, Groundswell Public Relations and the Lowcountry Land Trust on Thursday, June 6th for an evening of fishing stories and brews with Captain Lucas Bissett of Low tide charters in Slidell, Louisiana.
Named the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing Guide of the Year in 2017, Lucas runs two successful guiding businesses among the waters and marshes surrounding New Orleans, helped launch the acclaimed The St. Bernard Parish Black Mangrove Project to combat coastal erosion and provide fish habitat, and combines his passions for fishing and science to promote healthy, sustainable approaches to fisheries management.
Lucas will share stories about his experiences guiding and working with fisheries, habitat and local communities. He’s full of energy and funny, so come on out to enjoy a few beers, share some laughs, and just maybe walk away with a cool door prize.
