Join Lowcountry Land Trust, Dorchester County Parks and Recreation, and Keep Dorchester County Beautiful for a trail maintenance day at Rosebrock Park (permanently protected by LLT since 2014). Rosebrock Park features 1.5 miles of hiking trails that lead visitors from the parking lot trailhead through 70 acres of protected bottomland forest and wetlands to the banks of the Ashley Scenic River.
This workday will involve clearing, maintaining and extending the existing trail system available for visitors. Volunteers will help clear undergrowth, level the trail, and install erosion control devices by hand under the supervision of Dorchester County and Land Trust staff.
All volunteers will be required to complete a registration and liability form prior to participating and all minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian. A limited supply of tools will be available so volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools. Useful tools include shovels, mattocks, hoes, rakes, loppers, hand pruners, and small hand saws. Gloves, insect repellant, and water will be provided but we ask that volunteers bring a reusable water bottle.
Please pre-register via the link below so we can have an approximate head count and get started on time. Thank you for considering volunteering your time to improve public access to the Ashley Scenic River!
