Join us for SC Land Trust Network Lobby Day: April 9th

Lobby day 2We hope you’re able to join us on April 9th at the State House to thank legislators for their support of South Carolina Conservation Bank and to discuss the important work underway to protect South Carolina’s working farms, forests, watersheds, historic sites, outdoor recreational areas and invaluable open spaces.

Please share this invitation with anyone who would be interested in participating. Remember that volunteers are NOT expected to be experts. The main purpose of the day is to build better relationships with legislators. Talking points and handouts to help you start the conversation will be provided.

We expect to meet around 9:30 a.m. on April 9th at the Immaculate Consumption in Columbia for breakfast and an overview of our talking points and goals for the day, then we’ll head to the State House grounds to visit that morning’s legislative caucus meetings. We expect to arrange some individual meetings with legislators that morning as well. When session begins, likely around noon, you’ll have the opportunity to meet legislators in the State House lobby. We expect session to adjourn at approximately 2:00 p.m. and value your participation for as much of the day as possible.

Please contact Elizabeth Brown if you are interested in joining us
