Lowcountry Land Trust is excited to introduce you to conservation easement donor Chris Jacobs and her property, Sheldon Plantation. This stunning 752-acre sanctuary is adjacent to Old Sheldon Church Ruins in the ACE Basin. In this new video, we share the inspiring story of how it came to be permanently protected.
Chris is a dedicated conservationist, former CEO, and the oldest of nine siblings, who fell deeply in love with Sheldon Plantation and recognized the urgent need to preserve its pristine beauty and history for future generations. Her decision to place a conservation easement on the property ensured that its natural and cultural resources remained intact despite the rapid growth of the surrounding area.
Chris will be the highlight of our 2nd Annual Ladies’ Shoot & Lunch this October 25. Guests will enjoy a catered lunch with dessert, post-shoot cocktails, and a fireside chat between Chris Jacobs and Garden & Gun editor Lindsey Liles.
We invite you to watch “Sheldon Plantation Protected Forever” and gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of conservation.
