Meet Easement Donor Edsel Taylor (Video)

Lowcountry Land Trust is excited to introduce you to conservation easement donor Edsel Taylor and his property, Indigo Oaks, a stunning 200-acre sanctuary in the Ace Basin near Four Holes Swamp. In this new video, we highlight this remarkable landscape and share the inspiring story of how it came to be permanently protected. Edsel Taylor is a dedicated conservationist, former prison warden, and Vietnam veteran who fell deeply in love with Indigo Oaks and recognized the urgent need to preserve its pristine beauty for future generations. His decision to place a conservation easement on the property ensured that its natural resources remained intact despite the rapid growth of the surrounding area. We invite you to watch “Indigo Oaks Protected Forever,” witness the abundance of wildlife that calls this special place home, and gain a deeper appreciation for the importance of conservation.
