Last month, Lowcountry Land Trust officially opened the Lowcountry Center for Conservation, our new permanent headquarters. Joined by donors, board trustees, community partners, and friends, it was truly a decades-in-the-making celebration of community and conservation. Lowcountry Land Trust staff are thrilled to work from the building, advancing conservation in a space inspired by Mrs. Emily Ravenel Farrow’s intended vision for her former homesite.
We look forward to inviting the public to future events at the building through our Soul of the Lowcountry volunteer and outreach program. The flexible event and meeting spaces, available for partners and neighbors to reserve, support the Lowcountry Center for Conservation’s broader purpose as a place to collaborate on shared conservation goals. The two dynamic gathering spaces include the Sam Carlton Room, which accommodates up to 80 seated or 150 standing guests, and the High Point Conference Room, which accommodates 14 seated. Both rentable spaces are ideal for convening conservation experts, community leaders, and supporters alike to find common ground and foster collaboration with a focus on positive outcomes for the Lowcountry and all who call this home.
Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to receive invitations to outreach events at the Lowcountry Center for Conservation in the future! If you’re interested in utilizing the Sam Carlton Room or High Point Conference Room to further conservation efforts in the Lowcountry, we would love to hear from you!
