Lowcountry Land Trust to Host Annual Sporting Clays Shoot
Join us for a bespoke experience to support Lowcountry conservation

CHARLESTON, S.C. — On Saturday, November 13 and Sunday, November 14, Lowcountry Land Trust (LLT) will host its annual Sporting Clays Shoot at White House Plantation, a magnificent protected property in Green Pond, South Carolina, overlooking the Ashepoo River.

Guests will enjoy a professionally set clays course highlighting the scenic landscape of the world-class ACE Basin and, most notably, the Ashepoo River. Experienced and novice shooters are invited to attend one of four rotations throughout the weekend. The course will feature 100 targets over 14 stations. Each shooting squad may include up to five people, though registrants do not need a full squad to sign up. This year, shooters can sign up through Score Chaser using registered NSCA IDs if they have them. Additionally, winning teams will be announced for each rotation; all-around prizes will be awarded for the two best overall shooters, ladies, and juniors.

Tickets include participation in one of four rotations offered during the weekend,  lunch by Jimmy Fitts Catering, and post-shoot cocktails curated by Dixie Vodka and Grain & Barrel Spirits. Tickets do not include a golf cart (this is a golf cart-only course), gun, or ammunition. However, golf carts and ammunition will be available on-site for an additional fee.

Non-shooting lunch tickets are also available for purchase. You do not need to shoot to enjoy this stunning property and we encourage non-shooters to join us for breathtaking views and classic Lowcountry festivities.

We are also looking for volunteers! If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Blair Gottfried at bgottfried@lowcountrylandtrust.org. Volunteers will receive lunch, snacks, some special LLT swag, and the opportunity to visit this beautiful protected property. To register or learn more, please visit the events section on our website.

“We are delighted to bring back the Sporting Clays Shoot after a necessary pause with events,” said Ashley Demosthenes, President and CEO of Lowcountry Land Trust. “This experience offers a unique glimpse into the conservation work of Lowcountry Land Trust, the natural and cultural resources that we are committed to protecting, and the stewardship ethic of private landowners – a critical element of the conservation movement both in South Carolina and across the country.  The Clays Shoot is an opportunity to intimately connect to the outdoors, engage in a fun recreational activity reminiscent of early 1900’s sporting, and enjoy a privately protected property. There is no better way to convey the importance of conservation than to offer this kind of experience and to honor the people who make our work possible; it is our distinct privilege to share the results and public benefits of perpetual conservation.”
