Magnolia Park & Community Garden

The 3.7-acre property known as Magnolia Park and Community Garden is located in West Ashley and is a great example of a conservation partnership. This property was purchased in 2011 with funding from the Charleston County Urban Greenbelt Program. Lowcountry Land Trust placed a conservation easement on the property and transferred ownership of the land to the City of Charleston. Charleston Parks Conservancy now manages a beautiful and active community garden on the property. The space is complete with raised garden beds, rain barrels, a greenhouse, and a compost area – making it a fulfilling and informative activity for Lowcountry residents.
