Marsh Litter Sweep along Noisette Creek

Litter is more than an eyesore. It is a direct threat to the health of our creeks and rivers. Our community sweeps target high-impact areas around Charleston to prevent microplastics from entering our delicate food chain. We track every piece of debris using citizen science apps to ensure our data drives local policy and long-term change.

When: Friday, April 24th, 1pm-3pm

Where: In the grassy lot in front of Coast Brewing (1250 2nd St N, North Charleston, SC 29405) Look for The Sustainability Institute table/tent for check in.

Parking: Parking is available in front of Coast Brewing with additional spots at the end of the new pedestrian bridge.

What to bring: Reusable water bottles encouraged, snacks, closed toe shoes/boots to get anything out of the marsh itself.

*Everyone 21 & over will receive a drink ticket for a free pint from Coast Brewing after the sweep. (doors open at 12pm) *Water, gloves, trash bags, and trash grabbers provided by The Sustainability Institute.
