It is time to get your boots on the ground! This is hands-on marsh restoration at its most impactful. Join our Environmental Conservation Corps members and Sustainability Institute staff to move cement oyster castles directly into the sandy shoreline. These reefs reduce erosion and provide a habitat for local marine life. Your energy helps create a tangible difference you can see at every low tide.
These oyster reef builds are proudly held in partnership with The Nature Conservancy. These hands-on restoration events currently take place in Beaufort, SC, with each build typically lasting 3 hours. Specific location details and directions will be sent to you via email after you complete your registration for a specific date. Please wear/bring:
