Lowcountry Land Trust is excited to share updates to its Board of Trustees. These dedicated community members oversee the strategic direction of Lowcountry Land Trust, ensuring that its mission to protect land and water forever and connect the community to conservation is upheld and advanced. Trustees’ guidance over the last 40 years has contributed to the organization’s protection of over 167,000 acres.
As we entered Fiscal Year 2027 on July 1, Lowcountry Land Trust welcomed one new board member and said a fond farewell to three trustees who reached the end of their tenure. We sincerely thank Bob Baldwin, Amanda Davis, and Justin Craig for their years of service on the Board of Trustees. We are grateful for their many contributions and dedication to conservation in the Lowcountry.
We are honored to announce the following new Trustee: Kennett R. Kendall, III
Mr. Kendall is the CFO of Charleston-based Sherman Financial Group. Before moving to Charleston and joining Sherman in 2008, Rusty was at a Boston-based investment manager focused on private investments and at Bank of America Securities. Additionally, he worked as a Legislative Assistant in the United States Senate. Mr. Kendall has a BA from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and serves on the Boards of Credit One Bank, Porter-Gaud School, New England Ski Museum, and the Christmas Cove Improvement Association. Rusty and his wife Alice have 4 children and live in South Bristol, ME, and Sullivan’s Island, SC.
