You did it!

You did it!

Earlier this year we set a lofty goal to raise $100,000 for the Lowcountry during the month of May. Thanks to the support from the Speedwell Foundation and the Pathfinder Foundation, we knew we could count on $45,000 in matching funds. But that meant we needed people like you to join in and raise the remaining $55,000. We needed every day, hard-working folks to show their love for the Lowcountry by investing in our mission.  And guess what? You did it!

Thanks to 193 loyal donors like you, we raised over $128,000 during the month of May. That makes this year our most successful May Giving Challenge yet. Thank you!

If there is one thing we want you to take away from this campaign, it’s this—at Lowcountry Land Trust every gift makes a difference. Every single donor makes an impact. If you received one of our May Giving Challenge cards and sent in a check for $25, we cheered for you. If you received an email this month and made an online gift of $50, we celebrated that gift. If you called the office and made a gift over the phone and told us you wished you could give more, we hung up the phone and smiled and talked about how very, very much we appreciate you. We see you. We see the big things you’re doing in this community we love, and we are incredibly grateful for each and every one of you.

Some organizations have multiple matching gift campaigns a year and to them, our little May Giving Challenge might not amount to much. But here, at LLT, we get one shot a year to double the money we raise and we count on you to make the most of that chance. We are incredibly blessed with loyal donors who believe in our cause, who are passionate about our mission, and who love the Lowcountry as much as we do. It’s because of you we’re able to call this year’s May Giving Challenge a success.

So thank you. Thank you for all that you do to protect these lands we love.
