Join Coastal Expeditions for a Crab Bank Cruise & Charleston Waterkeeper for a neighborhood clean up around Shem Creek on April 25, 2024 in celebration of Earth Week! 100% of proceeds will be split between Charleston Waterkeeper & The Coastal Expeditions Foundation.
We will be participating in a neighborhood clean-up around Shem Creek and a Crab Bank Cruise! We will have two groups of 25 and switch. You will spend about 45 min cleaning up around Shem Creek in our neighborhood, then spend about 45 minutes cruising to Crab Bank learning about this important seabird sanctuary. The cleanup/cruises will be from 6:15pm-8:15pm.
DURATION: 1 hour cruise, 1 hour clean up
ARRIVE EARLY: Arrive 5-10 minutes early and meet at our location on Shem Creek where you will check-in
WHAT TO WEAR: Dress for the weather. A light windbreaker jacket is often welcome, even on warm days. We suggest wearing clothes you don’t mind getting a little dirty and close-toed shoes are required.
WHAT TO BRING: Drinking water and binoculars. Cleanup supplies will be included, but we do not have work gloves for children if you would like to bring your own.
ACTIVITY LEVEL: This tour is a boat cruise & litter cleanup and is suitable for most ages and abilities.
