Charleston Climate Coalition is hosting our 4th annual Tour de Earth Day, a slow roll bike ride through the urban eco-stops of Downtown Charleston. Expect to hear from speakers along the way about urban farming, native plants, environmental racism, plant-based diets, art for the planet, and more! And don’t worry about getting hungry — there’ll be food provided at Hampton Park before we begin our ride. The Tour will begin at Hampton Park at 12 PM where there will be an hour to get acquainted with other riders and decorate your bike, and the ride will commence at 1 PM and end around 4 PM
We’re limiting the number of sign-ups to maintain a cohesive event, so if you’re interested, please sign to reserve a spot. This is a BYOB event (Bring your Own Bicycle), but please let us know ahead of the Tour if you need to borrow a bike when you buy your ticket or by contacting rowan.chsclimatecoalition@gmail.com so that we can work to have one for you at the start of the event. You are also more than welcome to ride e-bikes, scooters, and skateboards. This is a family-friendly event so all are welcome and invited and kids ride for free!
We want to give folks an opportunity to learn more about the green work happening in their City, celebrate the Earth together, enjoy our rich environmental community, and turn a critical eye to where environmental justice issues remain. And we hope to have you join us!
